This I believe

Julie Kendrick supports that soup is a common meal which brings together friends and makes each one of them feel comfortable and connected with the other. She says that it's warmth makes you want to talk about life and share stories or annecdotes. She also claims that soup could be a tradition between people for example here in Argentina with asado or mate.

Grit's video

I actually liked all the video, because it's true, if you are not committed to complete or follow a goal you won't be able to do want you want in the future, and you might regret it.

On the test I scored 4.5.

I try to have grit and motivation because i can get a little distracted of what is more important .I personally have the goal to become an English Translator, because I love english and I feel passion when I learn it, so I would love to complete my goal and work from something that i feel passionate about.

Sixty Second Idea to Improve the World

Katherine's idea is to invent a device which can detect when your brain is stressed and tired and automatically block all kind of new information. It might work by sensing physical signs of stress and tiredness such as blood pressure. She says that there's nothing we could do to stop it and she thinks that this device is necessary because we don't take time to rest for ourselves when everything is getting too much. She also claims that the more stressed and tired we are, the more likely we are to check on emails, twitter and facebook.

Malcom thinks that it's a great idea, but he says that he checks obsessively his emails and if he wouldn't do it the problem would be that there will be twice as many emails than the day before so he'd get more stressed out.

Ian thinks it's a wonderful idea because the interesting thing is that when this breaks happen, because your computer shuts down or like a storm they've had in the UK which stopped people from travelling to work, they enjoyed that "natural break" where they could talk to neighbours and have a little time for themselves.

Weird News

Ariana Grande, the singer, made an interview for a magazine in which she explains that she had a ghost/demon experience. She starts saying that she was in Kansas City and she went to a hunted castle (with her friends). The next night she and her friends wanted to go to the Stull Cementary. On their way, they started to smell sulfur, which is a sign of the demon, and then, out of nowhere, a fly appeared in the car, also a sign of the demon. They were so terrified that they decided to leave, but first Ariana took a photo and three faces were captured in the picture.
After some days, Ariana was going to sleep and in the moment she closed her eyes, she heard a really loud and deep sound, but when she opened them it stopped, so she closed them again and she started listening whispers. Everytime she closed her eyes she kept seeing images with red shapes, and from one moment to another she sees a black matter moving.
She started crying, but she tried to calm down, she didn't want to disturb this black cloud. Finally she fell asleep and when she woke up in the morning, it was gone.

Twillight Review

Bella is a pretty reserved teenage girl, who doesn't like making social with people except with her mother and stepfather, a baseball player. When her stepfather's job requires Bella's mom to travell with him, she decides to move to Forks with her dad Charlie, but she wasn't planning on staying for too long. She would have never imagined she would find her true love in Forks, someone who takes her breath away and who later will become her deepest and most dangerous weakness. But first of all she would have never imagined he would be anything but a human.

The power of comedy

On his essay, John Cheadle Rich talks about laughter. Every moment in life deserves a laugh either it's a bad one or a good one. Laugh can make you change the way you see things, even more when someone makes you laugh and it takes your pain or worries away, at least for a moment. Like John says on his essay, laughing is a therapy which never fails on making you feel better. I personaly love laughing and making others laugh, it teaches me everytime to stay positive and go through hard situations.

Aubade - Philip Larkin

I work all day, and get half-drunk at night.
Waking at four to soundless dark, I stare.
In time the curtain-edges will grow light.
Till then I see what's really always there:
Unresting death, a whole day nearer now,

Describing

Oscar is my father, he's fourty-five, which means he's not really old. He is tall, he has short brown hair, bushy eyebrows and green eyes. He is really outgoing and sociable, even though he has a serious face and he is very helpful and cheerful. On weekends he just wants to watch movies, drink coffee, and enjoy the day with his family.

Sometimes he is so moody when it comes to cleanning that he thinks that my sister, my brother and I, don't want to help with it, which is his obsession. Other times he is adventurous, all of a sudden he wants to go camping or somewhere far away from the city. He is funny, mostly when he changes the songs' lyrics.

He is really impatient, for example when we go somewhere and there is a queue he gets angry, or when I haven't finished eating yet and he wants me to wash the dishies already. Like I mentioned before, he is obsessive with the cleanning, so he gets impatient with that too, like when there is a tiny piece of bread on the table and he gets crazy.

He is very independent, he is such a co-operative person that he want to help and solve others problems. In conclusion, my father is a beautiful person, who has defects, but we all have plenty of them, if we hadn't we wouldn't be humans.

Rumspringa

I think that every adolecent should be allowed a rumspringa because, in my opinion, teenagers must learn and prepare for their grown up's life when nobody is going to tell them what to do and they'll have to make their own decitions. Although, I think this period is sort of dangerous if teenagers pass its limits.

Hard day

Today was a busy day, but I kind of liked it because I had volleyball practise. On Sunday I'm playing a match and I'm really excited about it because I love the feeling when I get into the field, it's some kind of excitement that I only feel playing volleyball. The days I have volleyball practise I end up extremely tired, just like now that it's 10pm and I barely can keep my eyes open. Anyway, I feel good because I do something I like and enjoy.

Don't jump

I would tell the person that if he/she jumps he/she'd be giving up on him/herself and that there is always a solution for any problem, that maybe he/she has to see or interpretate the problem in another way. He/She doesn't have to give too much importance to whatever he/she is going through and not to be always negative and pessimist.
I'd say that nothing can matter more than your life, nothing and no one has to have the power of controlling it, I think that we are capable of anything we want, so if the person has been hurt or someone has died or whatever he/she is depressed for, the person can get over that pain and move on. And probbably there are people on his/her life that love him/her.

Awesome day !

Today was a great day ! In first place because I left school an hour earlier, second because the volleyball practise was awesome, it was really good. And last but not least, a new Pope has been chosen and he's argentinian ! It's really exciting that someone can represent us (argentinians) being in charge of a very important position in the world.

Describing people's characters

I am going to talk about my friends Lucia, Agustina and Florencia. Lucía is very out-going and chatty because she's always talking and she never gets tired of people, she likes to interact with everyone. Agustina is very kind to her friends because we have really good times together, also she is easy-going because she doesn't care what people think about her, unlike Florencia who is really moody and shy because she is always mad at someone or something and she doesn't like talking to people very much.

Rainy day

Today I woke up early because I had to go to volleyball practice at 12am.
When the volleyball practice finished I went to a friend's house where all my mates from school were so we could decorate our t-shirts and flags for our "last first day of school". The day was really rainy, but it's not a bad thing for me because I love watching the rain hitting the windows o falling on the street, it makes me feel really comfortable and happy.
By the way, the rain didn't stop us from decorating and having fun !

First Attempt

What does the term "home" means to you? For me it means a place where you can enjoy time with the people you love and care about. Also is where i can be more secure and more myself. I love living with my mother, my father, my sister and my brother.
